Almost there!

The last few days have been a bit rough. I've been tired and feeling kinda like I may be getting a cold and have had pain in my shins and knees. Its also been rainy and much cooler. While I'm excited to finally reach Santiago its also a little sad because I know it'll be over in not too long. The one thing that makes it better is knowing Cassie will be there at the end. I can't wait to see my baby girl!!!

I've been sending half my stuff ahead in my day pack to lighten the load and it has helped. Dave has caught up with me so we've been walking together again. Even though he doesn't like to hear it he is an inspiration as he does miles and miles on crutches. I've also been seeing many people who I've walked with over the last weeks. I'm sure I'll see many more of them tomorrow and Tuesday. Its been good to catch up with them.

I've decided to walk only 10k tomorrow and save the last five for Tuesday morning. I want to walk into Santiago with the sunrise. Its my plan anyway. I may change my mind and go the whole way, especially since nearly everyone else is going all the way, but for now, that's the plan.

Pray for Cassie as she leaves tomorrow afternoon. This is her first time flying outside the US and she is connecting in Dublin.

  1. Kim! I'm only doing this pilgrimage through you. Even vicariously, I don't want this to end for you! Savor the last miles. Enjoy your reunion with Cassie. Worship. So happy for you, and can't wait to hear about your experience. Blessings as you continue on the Way--you know, of course, that the pilgrimage doesn't end. It just changes scenery.
