I didn't even know what day of the week it was. It was a good day with Betz and Marion walking from Obanos to Estella: 26k. We had fun and kept our spirits up even though our bodies were rebelling at the abuse we've been putting them through.
We heard church bells ring out the quarter hour all night but it was soothing. The morning started off after we left the albergue with a song from the people of the town in the square. It was so beautiful. I'll try to post the video here.
It was cold and rainy all day and we found ourselves doing more mountain climbing. In the last few days we've had hot and cold weather, usually alternating many times a day depending on what altitude we are.
The day is ending with relaxing time in a restaurant waiting for the kitchen to open. Then a shower (hopefully it won't be so crowded by then) and maybe laundry before lights out.
So far we have walked 133 kilometers. Do the math, lol.
